It's always good to get an "intelligent" perspective on important issues.

For what it's worth, I connect via OSU to Schwab, Wells Fargo, Vanguard and ETrade (each with multiple accounts) with no problems whatsoever. That's a very small sampling of the total number of FIs that Quicken supports. To suggest that Intuit and FIs don't work together for the benefit of their mutual customers seems unfair and frankly illogical to me. It's win-win-win for Quicken users, our FIs and Intuit if online services work as advertised. Why would any of the entities "force" another out of the loop?

Perhaps then, instead of giving the other person grief, you should be thanking him for supporting the developers who are providing you with free (as in beer) software.

Speaking of Lavasoft, I received Ad-Aware CD, but after 2 emails to Lavasoft general support, I have not received programs Serial Number and Unlock Key, which are required for the use of all features of Ad-Aware 2007 Pro. Very disappointing Lyman Bekeris

Yes, thay are changing their business model to subscription based revenue. I purchase AdAware many years ago when it was advertised as free *upgrades* and updates for life. Now they are charging legacy users annually. They didn't receive good reviews in PCWorld, so I expect I will drop them when my "subscription" runs out.

WinZip did the same thing. I bought WinZip in 1997 when it was a free updates/upgrades for life. They responded that they did advertise that but never promised it. Of course I dropped them and moved onto other compression products.

Lyman, when a publisher's service and products suck....time to move on. Brand loyalty does not pay.

Does 7-zip use a proprietary zip algorithm? What I mean if I zip something with 7-zip and send it to someone else who only has Winzip can they unzip it or will they need to also have 7-zip?
