Quicken 2009

Hello all. After upgrading to R5 for Quicken Premier 2009, the one step update no longer works for my CU. Other FI's download fine. Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? Thanks Ed

Hi, Ed.

You would have a MUCH better chance of getting a response if you post a New message, rather than Reply to this very old thread, which has had no responses in almost a year. (And use a more informative Subject than simply Quicken 2009.) Only packrats like me even read such old threads. :^{

My Quicken 2009 Deluxe R5 has no problem with OSU - but I don't use your Credit Union. Which CU is giving you a problem? In your post, please tell us the version of Vista or other OS you are using. Sometimes that matters and it never hurts to mention it.

Hi RC, Actually thought I started a new thread. Sorry bout that. I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate & Quicken Premier 2009 R5. Got prompted for the R5 upgrade last week. Everything worked ok (for me) until R5. Members1st Fed CU times out with a [cc-501] error message:

Quicken can't update these accounts right now, but the Quicken team is already working on this issue to fix it. SOLUTION: please either wait until tomorrow to try updating again, or go to Members1s Web site and download from there. FOR MORE SOLUTIONS: click more info link. [CC-501] more info.

I can use the web site ok, just wondered if anyone else noticed this. Thx

Ed

I suspect that the installation of R5 isn't related to your problem.

That error is increasingly common for those who use Express Web Connect to download. I think it has to do with Multi Factor Authentication problems.

If you want to test my theory, you can revert to R4.

Reinstall Quicken and reject the offer to automatically update to the latest release. Go here:

and navigate to the patch files for Q2009, download the R4 patch, and run it (with Quicken closed).

If I'm wrong, you'll have your One Step Update back for the CU; if I'm right, you can just let Quicken update you to R5 again (or download the patch for R5 and update manually), with only the loss of a little time.

[If you have any trepidations, I suspect Vista must have something like the XP "restore point": create one of those before you begin reinstalling Quicken.]
