Quicken 2015 only updates one of two accounts

We have two checking accounts at Wells Fargo. One we use for almost everything. The other we rarely use . It's their mostly for ATM withdrawals and Paypal because we want to limit the amount in the account. I checked both accounts today in Quicken. Usually I just look at the main one. Both get data via Direct Connect.

The main account is finem but the smaller one shows no transactions sinc 8/25/16. There haven't been many, maybe a dozen or so, but why aren't they there? How do I fix this (update to current status)? and what can I do to prevent it happening again? It has worked fine for yaers,

Quicken just forced me to update teh R12 today whe I opened it but it seems unlikely that could be the problem.

If you haven?t already, you may want to verify that the register is sorted appropriately and that there aren?t any unexpected filters being applied: open the register, select the "Date" column header (you wan t the small triangle to right of "Date" to point up) and "Reset".

Thanks but I had already done that. I haven't a clue what to try next.

If you haven't already, you could attempt to reset the "Direct Connect": Af ter you have deactivated the "Online Services" of all the registers associa ted with the financial institution, when you activate the "Online Services" of one of the registers, Quicken should provide a list of all of the accou nts it finds at the financial institution and enable you to link the accoun ts to the appropriate existing registers.

If the missing transactions still don't download, you could attempt to recr eate the register: Save a data file backup, deactivate the "Online Service s" of the original register, add a new account register, move the transacti ons from the original register to the new register, reset any memorized tra nsactions and reminders that referenced the original register to the new re gister, delete the original register, and rename the new register's name to the original register's name.

This may sound silly, but I found the following one day:

  1. Next to the one-step-update button, there's a down-arrow. Click that.
  2. The second item down is "One Step Update Settings". Click that.
  3. There one finds a list of all the accounts that one wants to have updated when downloading account data. One day I discovered that an account that I had been going slightly insane trying to make update was >unchecked

Thanks. That wasn't the problem but it led me to what was. I did click that down arrow and discovered that the two accounts has different customer IDs, so I had to edit the info in Quicken for that account. Still no success so I had to clcik that down arrow again and choose Update Settings and turn on the OS update. Now it works.

There is still one mystery - why did it work fine the old way for 8 years, and then stop last August? But it seems to work now .
