Also - will be interesting to see if Costco handles it this year and if so, how it's priced there. Not on Costco Online right now, but that's not unusual.

Any answer yet if Premier 2017 is REQUIRED for stock/portfolio transactions?

Costco offers it for $74.99 while Deluxe is $54.99.

I see no difference between 2016 and 2017. I have QD and can continue to download portfolio transactions from Scotrade and Voya and security prices with no problem.

Does Deluxe include the portfolio reports, and track cost basis?

I don't use them, but the reports investing menu shows reports for capital gains, investment asset allocation, investment income, investment performance, investment transactions, maturity dates, portfolio value and cost basis.

Everything is still going well with my new installation of Quicken

2017 Premier. I use it daily for my downloads from my bank and investments and it seems to be working perfectly, so far. Tax prep time will be here soon and I hope my Turbo Tax 2015 or the 2016 update will work well with my new Quicken setup.

So far, all I have to say is that I like it. Wouldn't go back to the older version. Something might change any day with my bank or investments and the old version might not be able to cope with any such change. Better to be ready and not need it than to need it and not be ready. Gordon

Is there anywhere to look to see what the screens in Q2017 look like? I'm currently using Q2016 and am comfortable with the screens. Appreciate any tips/pointers!

But the big difference this year is the new owner, and I'm taking them at their word on the feature list. I do see someone else already posted the answer to my question in that indeed it is still there in Deluxe.

I know it's too early to ask, but as some of you get Quicken 2017 for Windows, I'd be very interested in hearing what you find that's different from 2016 in it, and how you like the changes.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From Q2017 Help:

Here is a list of improvements and changes we've made to Quicken this year

User interface - Refreshed IMPROVED. Quicken 2017 comes with a refreshed and a more modern look for a more pleasurable experience! What's changed? More working space - button names replaced by icons, collapsable toolbar and download transactions panel and collapsable widgets on the main view. Customizable settings - you can define the color and height for the account bar and also define the row height for account registers.

House account - Zillow ® integration NEW. Quicken is now integrated with Zillow's Zestimate® home valuation tool. With this feature, you can keep a track of the latest estimated market value of your house, any time you want!

Mobile sync - Investing accounts and watch list NEW. Investing accounts and their balances can now be synced to mobile devices. Your watch list can also be synced.

Mobile - Manage transactions offline IMPROVED. You can now add, edit or delete transactions on mobile devices even when offline.

Mobile - Advanced transaction search IMPROVED. The search functionality in Quicken for mobile is improved to enable users to search by category, payee, memo, tags, date, amount and check number.

Overall product stability STABILIZED. Fixed a number of issues including crashes, freezes and hangs.

Someone post the two-fer deals when you see BOTH TT for t/y 2016 and Quicken 2017 bundled please! I checked Staples yesterday, and they say T/T for t/y 2016 is 'pending'.

Gracias!

How can there be 2-fer deals when TT is from Intuit and Quicken ahs a new, separate owner?

Al

I don't know about discount bundles, but I just noticed that Amazon's release date for Turbotax by itself is November 9.

Why not? A retailer buys lots of products from lots of suppliers. They can resell them individually or in any combination for any price they want.

Ah! Good point. Well, as others said, depends on the retailer, but you might very well be right Al. Didn't even think of that....
