Quicken 2017

I usually upgrade to the new version only every other year, so I'm still running Quicken Deluxe 2016.

I may have asked this question here before, but if I did it was soon after 2017 was released, and not many people had much experience with it. So now that it's a few months old, I'll ask again:

What's new in 2017? Is it worth upgrading to?

What prompted me to ask again is that Amazon.com is now selling Quicken Deluxe 2017 for the low price of $34.56

The uprade went well for me. It fixed two bugs that have affected me for years: Quicken program upgrades used to fail every time. One step updates used to fail about 25% of the time, although re-trying the update would almost always succeed.

As well, the failure "you are not connected to the internet" is much less frequent now.

A new feature: Quicken can use Zillow to automatically track the value of your home. I don't use it, but it sounds pretty neat.

Where do you locate Zillow in Quicken 2017?

Thanks. I don't have either of those problems, though.

Sounds good, but I wonder how accurate that is. Anyone here have experience with it?

For me Zillow is only close to accurate if you personally manage the information used to estimate the value of your home.

It made alot of invalid guesses about my home that reduced its estimated value. The check lists can also be misread and add to confusion.

Claimed I had an unfinished basement in a BiLevel (Raised Ranch) home. square footage of living space was wrong by 30 percent.

Even though I took out permits with the town for major upgrades over the years none of those upgrades were included in the estimate. Upgrades like replace a 10x10 rear deck with a 12x22 screen porch, central A/C, etc.

Thanks for the info. Your experience is much as I suspected, so I think I'll refrain from buying 2017. Maybe I'll upgrade to 2018 when it comes out, but I'll see.
