Quicken 2020 R28.10 Release Notes Aug 2020 New: For new users, added an in-product chat option make it easier to contact support from within Quicken. The chat icon is located next to the help question mark on the Quicken title bar. New: Added new video, Getting Started with Quicken Bill Manager, as well as videos specific to Quick Pay and Check Pay. Improved: Added warning message for users who are attempting to schedule a Quicken Bill Pay bill after the service expires on 8/31. Improved: Added warning message for users who are accessing their Data File remotely rather than from their local drive. Users are now informed that there is an increased risk of file corruption and slow response times when accessing files remotely. Improved: Added a Show in Register button to the Quicken Bill Manager Payment Status window so you can go directly to your bill payment transaction. Improved: Added ability to switch more easily from Quick Pay to Check Pay. Improved: Replaced old support screen sharing with new CoBrowsing. Improved: Several improvements to manual budgeting related to creating, managing and carrying forward categories, as well as improving annual and monthly views. Improved: Detection and correction of column width issues in transaction reports. Improved: Updated the look and feel of the Security Detail View. Fixed: An issue in which the Tax Item column was not appearing properly in older saved reports. Fixed: An issue in which users were encountering sign-in errors after a recent update. Fixed: An issue in which scheduled updates stopped working until Quicken was restarted. Fixed: An issue in which the ALT+A keyboard shortcut had ceased working in the register. Fixed: An issue in which One Step Update was having significant slowing issues for some customers. Also fixed issues relating to slowness during startup and and accessing investment accounts. Fixed: An issue in which report column resizing did not carry over to the next use of the report. Fixed: An issue in which duplicate transactions were added to the investment register when accepting a transaction using the small accept button when performing compare to register. Beta feature: Added new beta feature, Simple Investing. With Simple Investing, Quicken only keeps track of the positions (number of shares for each security) over time, and your cash balances. Quicken?s tracking is based on information provided by your broker. You portfolio value, net worth, and investment returns over time will be available, but Quicken will not be able to calculate capital gains and losses or investment income. Quicken will display an account summary rather than an investment transaction register when the account is selected. To access this feature, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Investment transactions and select Enable Simple Investing (positions only). Standard investment tracking is still available. This is an additional option.
