Quicken 2020 R27.20 Release Notes Jun 2020 New: Added the ability to schedule future dated payments for Quick Pay and Check Pay . Users will now be able to set specific dates for payments to be made. As part of this addition we have updated the design of the Calendar, Bills dashboard, and Bill History view to accommodate future dated Quick Pay and Check Pay payments. This includes new Scheduled and In Processing statuses. New: We have added a text alerts feature which can sent SMS messages to your phone to update you on the status of Quick Pay and Check Pay payments. To use text alerts you will need to add your mobile number if it is not already entered. This can be done in the new Manage Email Alerts settings available in your preferences. You can also use the settings to determine which bill payment events will trigger an alert. New: Added an Investing dashboard that includes a new Top Movers panel. The dashboard is aimed at reducing the complexity of the Investing view to make it easier to quickly assess the status of your investments. Improvement: The Account Overview tab will no longer appear under the Business tab unless a user has created a business account. Improvement: Created an option to allow users to include the Notes column in their transaction reports. The Notes column can be sorted and is available for printing and export. Improved: Changed the default Find (CTRL-f) field from Date to any field. Improved: Changing or removing of Tax Line Item categories is now restricted. This is to prevent accidentally altering tax-related information. Improved: Error messaging for users who cannot access a cloud-based data file has been improved to explain that the file cannot be accessed because it is already in use by another application. Improved: Increased speed of updating investment quotes from the investments tab by not downloading historical quotes. Historical quotes are always downloaded during One Step Update . To include historical quotes from the Portfolio View use Shift-Get Quotes. Improved: To help when you have multiple duplicate transactions, you can now delete multiple transactions in the Compare to Register window. Improved: Returned keyboard shortcut functionality for attachments. The shortcut ALT+ERH will open the Attachments window. In the Attachments window, use ALT-S to attach an image from a scanner, use ALT-F to attach a file, or use ALT-C to attach from your Clipboard. Improved: Made installation more understandable, included time estimates, and improved error messaging for installation issues. Improved: Error handling for account number issues caused by variable final digits in account numbers. Improved: Quicken now allows up to six numbers after the decimal point when calculating fractional shares. Improved: Added explanation for users getting moved to the Paycheck wizard when they choose Net Pay instead of Gross Pay when entering a paycheck. Fixed: An issue editing loan reminders when trying to replace the Mortgage category. Fixed: An issue in which the Quicken Activation dialog was displaying for some active users when they attempted to log in. Fixed: An issue in which cloud sync was attempting to progress despite an expired subscription. Fixed: An issue getting Budget updates made in the web application to appear in the Windows version of Quicken. Fixed: An issue in which the Net Worth graph did not display properly under Property & Debt unless the graph was first visited in the Property tab. Fixed: An issue in which, when Report Columns were reordered, they did not resize properly. Fixed: An issue in which, if a Category had a different accounting type than its tax assignment, it would be displayed differently in Summary reports than in Transaction reports. Fixed: An issue in which the Quicken login password dialog appeared in the background when you were prompted to enter your Password Vault ID. Fixed: An issue with date entries in the Reconcile Statement Date field.

They did quite a few usability enhancements this month, several of which I recall people "bitching" about in this NG over the decades...specifically:

- Changed the default Find (CTRL-f) field from Date to any field.

- Quicken now allows up to six numbers after the decimal point when calculating fractional shares.

Good for them. This is why I am happy to support them on an ongoing yearly basis.

When I downloaded this fix, I only saw (when I clicked on the "What's in this release" button), "Fixed: Few issues related to crashes." for release 27.24. Somehow I missed reading the good stuff in 27.20. So thanks for posting these updates as you usually do.

You're welcome. They seem to stack public releases and frequently include previous internal releases. I had to check and see if I had received 27.20 before, but hadn't.

Which might have also been why I missed the comments. Possible they skipped that distribution level altogether, or I never got around to receiving it when they preempted it with the higher level.

Thanks again.
