Upgraded to Quicken Deluxe 2018 a few weeks ago. Although I'm not particularly interested in Quicken Billpay, I was getting annoyed at the little red notification flag that won't go away at the top of the Quicken window.
Even that wouldn't have been enough to get me to sign up, but clicking on the link to migrate results in the following statement:
"Good News! You are eligible for the FREE Quicken Bill Pay tier plan. Enroll and activate the new Bill Pay"
Be very careful:
After signing up, I see that Bill Pay is only free if you have Premier or Home & Business. Deluxe owners have to pay a monthly subscription.
A few days later, despite having provided the routing and account number, I get an email from "Amick" asking me to provide the following information:
Copy of your most recent home utility bill or other proof of your residential (service) address Copy of your social security card or other proof of your SSN Copy of a voided check or a letter from the financial institution you enrolled, showing proof of bank account numbers and account ownership Copy of your Driver?s License/Identification Card or other proof of your date of birth
Right.
