Quicken PDF Printer?

There was a time, around 2008 I think, when Quicken was printing a lot of reports and checking account reconciliation's to my Postscript printer at 10% magnification. I would go in to printer properties and fix the offending parameter, and then Quicken would simply write over that setting the 10% value.

So, I finally called Quicken support and got some bozo who insisted that I needed to install an HP laser printer driver. That didn't address the issue, and I told him, so he proceeded to walk me through step by slow and painful step, the procedure for doing what I didn't want to do. It was like he was one of those dolls that has 3-4 pre-recorded sounds. Pull the string and hear a sound. I hate Quicken "support."

just tried it - failed - Don't have Q2009 running during this test, and tried printing this message from OE to the Quicken PDF printer.

It failed - with a small dialog box -

Activation Error Printer not activated, error code - 30

Did u try "printing" a report from Quicken to the PDF writer, then close Quicken, THEN run your other app to try it? (I probably should know this, but what is 'OE' in your sentence "...from OE to the Quicken....")

All a bunch of CRAP !

Such as the statement "...the software is bundled with a browser toolbar component that has behavior which I would consider malware or trojan-like behavior..."

I repeat... /* There is absulutely ZERO MALWARE from PDFCreator! */

I have NEVER had a problem with PDFCreator on dozens of installs. But I will admit, I never install *any* toolbars for browsers. All Browser toolbars are crapware and NEVER needed. That includes Google, Yahoo, Ask, etc...

The Tool Bar may be crap, but it is in NO WAY malware!
