Replacemenet printer not seen by Q10

I replaced my HP990 with another one and have had no trouble printing from Word, but Quicken can't find it. I have even reinstalled, no help. What can I do? John P

Which version of Q? Older versions needed to have the Quicken default printer set from within Quicken.

I think in Q10 you can choose set printer, or printer options, to set up your printer. If that fails, or isn't there, make sure you have your printer set in Windows as the default printer

I couldn't find anything helpful but I did try reinstalling Quicken 10 but it didn't help. I thought it might automatically pick it up. John P

I just checked my Q2011 and it looks the same as always. Under File menu select Printer Setup and select printer for reports and for checks.

Yes thank you I found it under the file menu and was able to make it print by selecting one of three HP 990's listed there: at USB 002. Back in the control panel I have to be sure to use the bottom one!-the other two are copies. I was unable to delete any printers in control panel-all I got was a legend "Deleting", but it never went away. Maybe they need to be uninstalled. Thank you for the tip. John P.
