Report Fonts

May 04, 2005 3 Replies

At end-of-month, after reconciling, I print a transaction report. The default font appears to be Arial, 12 or 14 point. Too big! I've followed the help screens which are misleading (e.g. "Choose File menu > Printer Setup, then select the object you're preparing to print (Reports/Graphs or Invoices"). Sorry guys, but it won't work that way.

I've generated the report, clicked on Print, and then Printer Setup, and changed the font to Courier New, 9 point. When the report is printed, it remains in the default font setting (above). I've also tried changing the font settings before going into 'Reports' - that doesn't work either.

Any ideas?

You don't say what version of Quicken you have or the printer type. That would help.

Works fine either way for me with Quicken 2005D. I suspect if you have

2005 that the problem is with your printer. Is this a new problem? Will other programs print in Courier new? If not 2005, are you in XP with user or admin rights?

Apologies! It's 2005 Premier, R-3, and the printer is an HP PSC2210 (multi-function). Running WinXP as Administrator, SP-2 from a Dell laptop. Any and all other programs will print in a multitude of fonts. Just tried printing the transaction report in Times New Roman - that didn't work either. Toyman _________________________

I've had friends who have had problems with Quicken and multifunction printers. First, chek the website and download the latest patches. There's one for April 05 to resolve a SP2 issue with Gallery? Maybe not your problem but who knows.

Also, try setting up a generic printer ie not using the multifunction print driver to print the report.
