Return Address on Checks

Jan 30, 2009 6 Replies

I use Quicken to pay bills through Citibank, using Direct Connect service. When I pay a bill, sometimes a transfer occurs and sometimes a check is printed. I just discovered that the check has an old address as my address in the upper left corner.

How do I change that? I've looked through the various menus and haven't found an obvious spot.

Thanks/

I hope that you have told Citibank that you moved. I'd double check all the settings on Direct Access.

Also, remember that if you spend on an evelop and stamp, you can ride the float.

Talk with Citibank, they probably have your wrong address on file. See if you can find it online. As long as the Check goes to the correct address (which I would be more concerned about) you are okay.

Oh yes, Citibank knows where I am. After all, we moved 8 years ago! I almost never look at the check images and didn't notice until today that the return address was wrong.

We moved some 10 years ago, and then I paid certain bills through Citibank direct access the checks for which were seen by a relative. She did remark on the kind of check (AFAICR), but never said the address was wrong. So Citibank does get some things right, some of the time ...

Would still encourage you to contact Citibank. They need to correct the info on the software that prints the checks. Lee "Every man desires to live long, but no man wishes to be old." Jonathan Swift
