Split a transfer?

Hi, Noozer.

I see you solved your own problem, but I have to ask...

I never heard of this version. Could you tell us more about it?

Many posts here have mentioned Quicken XG, the Canadian version of Quicken. But I don't thing the GX version has ever appeared before - except for your other message just 8 minutes earlier. Was it just a typo, or is there actually such a version?

I am transferring $100 from one account to another, to cover a payment. Of this $100, $44.34 is for parts, $50 is for labour, and $5.76 is for GST.

How can I split the transfer to show the payment details? This is using Quicken 2005 GX.

Do later versions of quicken allow you to split transfers and track utility accounts (with splits as well) ?

Duh... never mind.

I split the amount when I enter the debit from the statement NOT when I make the payment.

In other words, when I enter the charge for the $100, I split it then. Later I simply transfer $100, WITHOUT splitting, to cover the whole thing.

My mistake... It's "XG"
