quicken validation works fine with windows in safe mode. How do i go about finding the application that prevents me from validating. I looked into the "Answers that Work" data and could find nothing. I also looked in Windows Task Manager and found nothing
You might try booting in normal mode, and *immediately* doing your Quicken validation; maybe there's some other app that is launched later on that is locking the file.
