25 MILLION - The cost of stopping for some disco lights

Now that the British public are utterly confused as to what a polieman looks like, we can expect far more robberies like the one that occured in Tonbridge today. Let's start with the cars. Now you have marked, unmarked, blue lights behind the radiator, blue lights on the roof, VOSA's amber lights which you must now treat as blue lights. ambulance cars that look like police cars, police cars that look like ambulances. No wonder that the manager of the depot who stopped for a £50 set of disco lights behind a radiator grill, was pivotol in the execution of the biggest robbery Britain has ever seen.

NEW LABOUR - NEW CONFUSION - UNIFORMS 'R' US

====== A friend of mine (female) was fined for speeding after trying to get away from an unmarked police car with two guys in it who she thought were following her and which sped up when she tried to get away from them :-(

Good job she didn't try to phone the police for help whilst driving.

I've a very similar story, a female friend thought she was being pursued, she tried to get away, ran a red light, found a marked cop car and asked them for help. The officer in the marked car gave her a bollocking and said she was being followed by an unmarked car, like duh!

If you're a lone female being followed by two burly blokes and you can't shake them off you're probably going to panic, rather than think "oh, it's just an unmarked car, best behave then"

You've got to wonder if someone prosecuted them, if they wouldnt be liable?
