a safe bet?? in need of some help or feedback

I would like to thank anyone who reads this and please rest asurred this is not a scam. I am not asking for your money just some advice.

I am a university student in the UK and while traveling I met my business partner. He was an active and very well respected trader in South East Asia mainly Singapore and know he lives in the UK. He is an old man but I believe he has achived something amazing in his work. He has through time written formulae which have resulted in the products offered at thebuchanan.com he has very little knowledge of the web and how it works so asked me to put together a web site and market his work. I have so far managed to complete a web site of which I am very happy. I have learnt a great deal about the web through this project.

I have began to market the products but I have found it extremely difficult. I have regular visits about 100 - 200/ day which is not bad but I have a very low conversion rate. I am looking for a few people in the trading environment to please help me. If you have the time could you have a look at the site and what we offer and give me some feedback. If you require an updated copy of our output to view please do not hesitate to contact me via the website, I will send it immediately.

I am gaining more and more knowledge of the markets and have become facinated by them both through this project and my degree but I have very little hands on experience and although I hope to pursue a career in Investment Banking I still have some way to go. I do not know enough to gauge what the response can be. The main reason I am asking for advice is as time goes on I am becoming more and more occupied by other commitments and I am put in a very difficult situation every week when I have to call my partner and let him know of the weekly figures. I can see and I know he has dedicated a large proportion of his life in "his system" and I would like to be able to help him.

Any feedback positive or negative will be priceless. I thank in you in advance if you have read this and had a look at my site and posted me feedback.

I`m not a finance bod, but...

No verifiable company contact details, and its hosted by a tinpot host in the US that has 2048 IP addresses allocated to it. The "forum" is hosted by the same people.

Smells like a scam to me, I especially liked the "we collect credit card details" bit !

Thank you both for your criticisms. I am glad someone is honest as this is what I am looking for. When visiting the site this is what you thought then, this is also what other people think. The hosting company is a UK company with base in America and they are very respected as a service provider. I was unaware of the IP policy there were using and thank you for informing me. The forum was a little bit of fun and experimentation. I got involved in this project for fun, this is not profit driven as from the offset I was aware that it would be extremenly difficult to enter the market of financial information on the web. I set up the forum as I wanted to play a little with PHP nothing more. If people post on it very well other wise I am not bothered.

Thank you once again for giving me something to think about.

Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick, but it seems to me you are selling guesses (probability distribution) of what markets will do, together with some sort of system of how to apply those guesses. Does this not come under the remit of stock market advice and consequently does it not require some form of licensing/regulation?

The usual response to schemes of this type is:

"If this works, why it is that you aren't using it yourself to make lots of money, instead of selling it to me."?

So, why aren't you?

I do use it but unfortunately given the financial situation I find myself in I have been unable to secure a large enough initial capital outlay to make substancial profits. Being a student I have many costs to cover and with the small initial capital I had I manage well to cover all the costs every month and keep some to reinvest.
