Anyone else having problems getting money out of Alliance & Leicester ? I thought I was on the ball. Surely to God I am not already too late ???

As long as you've got £35,000 or less with them (the 100% compensation limit) you've little to worry about.

Other than the potential long wait to get your money.
First you have to put in your claim to the liquidator, and wait to see what you get. If it is anything like for example Farepak, you will still be waiting a year later.
Then you have to claim the difference from FSCS, and this takes time as well.

I wasn't aware of how it worked, but given that a bank run is a confidence issue I can't see the point of a compensation scheme which takes so long.

I also have more than £35,000 invested with A&L IOM, although much less than you. What is this worry about them anyway? Is there a story here that I've missed?
