Barclaycard price promise ends in February

The price promise ends in feb as does the extended warranty. This has been presented in a typical doublespeak fashion as if they are doing us a favour! Thing is there is also mention in the letter of a "cheap" scheme which you pay into that will allow continuation of these perks. I phoned Barclaycard themselves and they dont have a clue about it but its supposed to start in february. Anyone heard details or is it just another ploy to salve the blow?

So what advantages does Barclaycard offer now?

As I see it none! Others have lower APR, others have cashback? You are sure to get a better deal elsewhere

Without a hint of irony, "Pete" astounded uk.finance on 17 Jan 2005 by announcing:

Nectar points! Wowee!

Looks like a good time to review options and change

I think (hope) Barclaycard will get a shock when they see the loss of trade.

If I could convert ny Nectar Point to Air Miles I would be dumping Barclaycard

It's definitely doublespeak. They have scrapped all the useful benefits and "replaced" them with useless features or things that they should already do (like better security).

My only reason not to cancel mine is whether I would lose my current extended warranties?
