Best selection of mortages?

I found financial sites in

good selection of mortages available. However there were not many buy to let products available. Also it seems that buy to let are not Regulated by FSA like other mortages. Does anyone know if I have misunderstood something about this regulation? Is it safe to invest in property with buy to let mortages? I was planning to buy small studio flat as a first buy to let property so I would not lose everything in case something goes wrong. Thank you in advance...V

They are as far as a customers is concerned. They broker might have some different checks to perform for compliance.
