How long does it take for funds to come out of a account?
I.E. pay cheque in bank say HSBC on Monday (before 3pm) will the funds come out of the account (Halifax) on Tuesday or Wednesday?

Thursday is most likely.
That would be nice - but I would expect to see the funds disappear from my Halifax account Tuesday to reappear in my HSBC account as cleared funds Thursday or Friday. Afterall isn't this how banks make money on funds while in clearing?
