Does anyone know what time of day Direct Debits come out of a Bank Account? I'm with the Halifax if this helps...
Also, how long does it take for Direct Debits take to get to the receiving bank?

I believe it goes on their overnight processes, so some time in the early hours of the morning. As far as I know, a Direct Debit is credited to the receiver the same day it is debited from you.

I was watching my account at 3am - 3:15am and two D.Ds came out as well as a bank credit came in!

You don't normally need to worry about this. They should claim the DD in time for it to reach them by whatever date they deem necessary. It's normally processed 3-5 working days in advance of the actual debit.
