Creating an overdraft and transfering it to a 0% credit card?

Just got myself a new CC with a 0% offer on, amongst other things, transfer of overdrafts and loans. But I haven't got any overdrafts or loans (apart from the 'fictional' balance on a different CC which is running out of time). I wondered if any of the people here who are, clearly, highly experienced in these CC offer matters, could advise me on the legality and/or efficacy of trying it on in one or more of the following ways :-

a) Pretend that one has an overdraft with one of my current accounts. b) Create an overdraft on one of them (which has a 0% safety margin) Problem - keeping it at the level one is claiming, 'til it has been cleared. c) Really go into the red and hope they transfer promptly. d) Do b) every month, or even more frequently. e) Pretend that the other CC has a bigger balance outstanding than it really has.

Actually buying something big on the other CCs would rather defeat the purpose. Any advice from experienced players gratefully received.

They dont know whether you have an overdraft or not- and I get the impression they dont really care. Transfer the money to your current account then into a high interest account. Try to avoid spending it though, unless you want to end the 0% period with a real debt!

Anyone know whether Smile, Mint and Marbles allow this?

I've already done this with Egg and MBNA to the tune of 22,000 and sadly it's time to move one :(

Some cards dont allow you to pay off an overdraft, but you can transfer to your Egg card and then to your bank account. They don't seem to care whether you have a genuine balance to transfer or not.
