i have written to my credit card company three times now in the last two months, because they have charged me interest and late and overpayment charges even though part of the problem is not my fault. i only pay £22 every 4 weeks because i am on a payment plan with them because i couldn't afford to pay the full monthly balance. i was paying £20 every 4 weeks for 4 months, however they carried on charging me and told me that for me to be concidered for hardship payments i had to pay £22 per month for 3 months, i tried to do this through my bank but the bank messed up and kept paying £20 the first time and then only £2 the second time and then £20 the last time. so i want to know from my credit card company why they have charged me for late payments when i havn't paid them late and my bank has told me that they will consider paying three months charges because of there mistakes if the credit card company wont re-pay them to me, the credit card company just will not reply to my letters, what should i do. i owe around £1850 on the card with a credit limit of £1500 but the £350 overlimit is for interest and charges, if i offered to pay off the the full amount how much do you think the settlement figure would be.

Consider cutting up the card, cancelling the agreement and having the payment plan agreed as a replacement. I suspect that the charges are the standard late payment penalties. You need to move away from the credit card agreement and onto the payment plan agreement. I suspect that paying 20 per month on the credit card agreement wont reduce the balance so it will not be a solution even in the long term. Your local CAB can offer good advice.
If the card issuer wont reply to letters, phone them up.
don't charge me interest or other charges anymore, however i don't beleive i should have paid some of the charges such as late payment charges because they were not late, they were taken by standing order every 4 weeks, in fact two weeks before they were due, and the c*ck up that the bank made was not my fault, the bank said they may refund me charges because of their mistakes, but the credit card company just won't reply to my letters.
It sounds like you are on top of things. It is good to use written correspondence but, if they wont reply, try phoning.
