My brother has a dormant account with the Bradford and Bingley, the last deposit was made in 1985. However, they don't seem to be able to find it. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Maybe he'll have some shares as well! Have they checked their list of unclaimed shares from when they went public? (assuming your brother had at least 100 in the a/c)
