DSN Debt Awareness Centre

I just took a computer originated call in the office from the "DSN Debt Awareness Centre". This would appear to be an organisation predating on people in personal debt. Once I got through to a human I told them in no uncertain terns to remove our numbers from their database. I do not want these parasites talking to my staff (none of whom are in any debt - to my knowledge).

The human was British and in a a very busy call centre.

What bothers me is that "DSN Debt Awareness Centre" brings up absolutely no relevant hits on Google.

Are these people kosher?

I've had calls from some other monkeys: Natiional Debt Awareness Service or some such, despite being on the Telephone Preference Service. Tell them where to go, with bells on.

They sell debt consolidation plans.

Very doubtful - if they where good they wouldnt have to cold call people!

I`ve managed to get off cold-call lists. I stopped getting calls very soon after spending half an hour (I was bored and had nothing else to do!) trying to get a load for £2.7 trillion. I spent most of the time explaining that I wanted it to build a warp capable space ship. I just had to sort out a captain, and asked if they knew a Mr Kirk. Took quite a while for the guy in the call centre to figure out I was taking the piss :-)
