For the last 2 weeks now, whenever I try and access the Egg website, I get the apology and essential maintenance message. It takes the mickey by saying it will only be for a short while and should try later.
Does anyone know if Egg are having problems? I've e-mailed them but have had no reply. Security is always a concern these days.

Empty your cache on the PC
Hooray, in at last. I don't think it's a problem of clearing my cache as the problem persists on whichever PC I try. This is like the early days of Egg when the site was frequently down. I have a feeling that they are protecting their site from these e-mail scams, but it's a nuisance when I need access. Let's hope for improvement. At least they've added the 0.25% interest to the savings rate - not like most of the other tight baa lambs!
I think it must be a problem at your end. For the last two weeks I've been logging in every day, sometimes twice and have never had a problem. It may be timing however I've been logging in late at night 11ish or early in the morning ( before 7)
