I've just opened a First Direct e-savings account. I can log on and see a balance of 0 but I can't see how to transfer money in. Please tell me I don't have to send cheques. The only transfer options appear to be from the account. TIA

You transfer the money from another account, so you use the transfer facility of the account the money is coming from. Thats what I did with mine.

If the account you wish to transfer from is also a First Direct account, it is very simple. Select "Pay Bill/Transfer" and you should see your savings account listed.
If it's not a First Direct account, you simply need the Sort Code and Account Number for your e-savings account, and either phone your bank or use internet banking to transfer funds.
