Just go into an HSBC branch, as they are the same company.

Cheques can also be posted to First Direct in Leeds.
You can pay cash/cheques in through a few HSBC ATM machines, but only a small number of them currently have this facility. Annoyingly you have to enclose a bank giro credit slip when paying in through HSBC machines - with most banks you just bung the cash/cheques in an envelope and key in the amount.
