Egg card anniversary offer

A while ago I received email from egg to tell me that on the anniversary of my opening my credit card account, I would have the opportunity to transfer a balance at 0% for 5 months. Can't find the original email and can't remember the anniversary date - does anyone know if they remind you when the date is approaching or is the hitch that you have to remember to transfer a balance on one particular day of the year out of 365?

TIA

I've got the same email - I don't know whether they will tell you the month you took the card out, but you can do the transfer during the anniversary month - so you don't have to get the exact day!

transfers you make during the anniversary *month* of when you opened your Egg Card.

There are several steps involved in opening an account, and in my case they spanned more than one calendar month.

I wonder which of the following they count as marking the month the account was opened in?

- Approval of card application.

- Signing and returning Credit Agreement.

- Egg issue card.

- Card activation.

Usually their receipt of the second, AIUI, but why not phone them up and ask them what they are considering the date to be? They can't not tell you.

Be very careful in dealing with egg.

In particular, read carefully the small print relating to their card protection plan, and make sure that you are crystal clear about what protection you are paying for, and what you will get in the event that (e.g.) you lose your job.

I spoke to Egg about this and they told me that the anniversary month is the same as the expiry month on my card. This was March for me which was handy as they sent me the email in April - role on 2005.

I would still check with them before doing any transfer.
