Anniversary date for egg card and Balance Transfer

Jan 16, 2005 1 Replies

Just got an email back from egg confirming that my anniversary month is March after asking them when my anniversary date was. Does that mean I can do the balance transfer from anytime in March or should it be the day my account actually opened? I'm thinking the date it opened was much later in the month.

Also, I did ask this question but they managed to skip on providing any answer - are they charging any fees on balance transfers done as part of the anniversary offer?

Their "charges" section only shows fees on cash withdrawals and overseas transaction, and nothing about fees on balance transfers, like many card companies are now sneaking in!

I queried them on the "anniversiary month" deal and they said that it's 0% on all transfers done between the first and last day of the anniversiary month, and interest is not charged till the first day of the fith month after that, meaning you can have anything between 4 or 5 months at 0% depending on which day you do the transfers.
