And you don't enter any credit card number when you apply so you're not going to get caught out.

The free bit is valid for 30 days.

Sorry - yes they ask for credit card details. I couldn't remember, but just checked.

Experian is £2 and Equifax is £2 - can do both online with a CC - link on

As I posted in the other thread, I went over my trial period by a few days but they happily refunded the whole amount to my credit card when I phoned to cancel.

Just tried the link you supplied, after providing my details as requested I received the message :

"The system is temporarily unavailable whilst we improve and upgrade the service.

We apologise for the short delay and any inconvenience caused whilst these essential changes are being made to the site. Thank you for your support and please log in soon to make sure you benefit from the improvements!"

Thank's a lot, some prior warning to downtime (if that is indeed what it is) would be welcome. At the very least this shows poor adminisration regarding issuing a warning prior to the collection of deatails from potential users.

My warning to other's intending taking advantage of this offer is to be cautious at the very least.

Maybe just bad luck or timing on my part but I have now entered my details with bugger all in return.

Regards TR

This happend to me as well, you need to try again immeadiatly after and it should work. Obviously something wrong with their system!!

But CreditExpert *IS* Experian!!!

It is just their online version. Just like Equifax's online report costs much more than just 2 -- it's 8.25 each...

That's probably because they pro-rata any refund over the first (I think) 90 days. So half-refund if cancel after 45 days, three-quarters refund if cancel after 22 days, full refund if cancel "immediately".
