How to work out best prudential pension fund

After months of struggling, I have received a letter from prudential stating that becuase of bad performance, they have offered to allow me to move my 'with profits' pension fund to any of their other funds 'without loss or cost'. They are sending a man out in 3 weeks to see me, talk through the options and complete the paper work. They have sent me a "fund broucher" which has nice pretty pictures and lots of niuce sales words, but no facts.

I therefore want to be prepared before he arrives. Does anybody know where I can see how all of prudentials funds have compared in say, the last 5 or 6 years against other funds to better allow me to make an informed choice.

I have three other pensions (1 high risk - doing very well, 2 medium and my prudential which I marked as medium to low risk). However, there has to be a fund which has done better that then 3.4% growth of the ''with profits' fund (thats 3.4% growth in total over last 5 years, rather than 3.4% per year (I wish)).

The five years you mention happen to have been about the worst five years for withprofits funds that there have been. It's reasonable to hope that the future will not be as bad, so if you switch out you may be making a mistake. You need to know why it was bad while you had it and what the future holds in store.
