Unfortunately I can't now access the previous messages and have lost the thread somewhat. But starting again I was asking for advice in selling shares and reinvesting. In my case I was hit with the IT crash and was holding quite a number of high tech shares but decided to hold on to them. They have not recovered and I probably should bite the bullet and take the large loss. I now think I should have done that at the time. You were asking me a question at the time and perhaps you can access the previous messages and let me know. Blair

nntp.aioe.org is probably just one of the many newsservers that have copies of all the posts and allow you to post on to usenet. If you look at the message headers you will see what I mean. Usenet tutorial here
