Online broker for US options

Jan 24, 2006 6 Replies

I'm looking for a good online broker to deal with US options (NYMEX, CBOT, etc). I have contacted OptionsXpress and Scottrade, but neither of them accepts UK residents as customers, even when they are US citizens. Any ideas? Thanks.

Our company share options scheme uses Etrade, this is for shares in a US company and we're all UK people. I'm not sure if they accept individuals from the UK though, as opposed to a UK company scheme employees.

Doesn't accept UK customers either...

hmmmm, I have two accounts with them. Maybe they wont let new accounts be opened?

I know of two of them. I sued to be with E*Trade. I believe if you want a US based account with them you need to open it through etrade.co.uk.

My current one is Interactive Brokers

To be honest, they are very good and very cheap for US options at .75 cents per option. They also allow you to have your account in GBP.

Hope this helps

I hava an account with E*Trade. There is some extra paperwork, but nothing major.
