OT? Car Tax

I've found that some previous insurers wouldn't insure (competitively at least) some new cars. Good reason to change insurer on change of car!

I've also found that the event of getting a new car is remarkably good at "reminding" you, that you may get a better deal elsewhere on the insurance. Another good reason to change insurer on change of car!

I've never found that an issue.

Evidently not. I haven't been scrutinising the fine print regularly, but I am sure that it was once so, ever since I once tried to buy a tax disc more or less as soon as the form came through the post, and found that the post office didn't have them in yet. This was about

3 weeks before the old one was due nominally to expire, and they told me they didn't normally get them until 2 weeks before.
