Pensions?

How much do a married couple get when over 80?

How much is sent to the man, and how much to the woman?

And I understand there is to be an increase soon, but how much and when I do not know.

All of it should go to the man, of course. Youngsters wouldn't, but it's what people over 80 would expect. :-)

It actually goes to those of them who have paid relevant contributions. The exception may be if they are on means tested pension supplements.

The answer depends on whether they have a full contribution record. Most married women, of that age, will not have a full contribution record. It also depends on whether there is any state second pension, or its predecessor (possibly only the latter, for that age).

This ignores private pensions.
