Portfolio management software/sites

Anyone recommend a basic package and/or site for daily updating of portfolio prices to provide a basic loss/gain summary for each share?

I was thinking of using Excel and manually updating (plus a paper backup perhaps) but wondered what people generally used.

There's a portfolio service for this on

formatting link
which does shares, unit trusts, etc. Can't say how this compares with others. I've had a few things on it for some time and it does what I need.

Toom

I use that one as well.

It would be nice to have a few other things on it, but you cant have everything for nothing :-)

Try

formatting link
i use them for all my shares portfolios and gives you the option of inputing how much you bought the shares and also has live market data tools. a very good site.

I use Excel, getting the closing prices from ADVFN's Monitor, at

formatting link
which is real-time and not time-limited after the close of the exchange. Also Interactive Investor at
formatting link
which is set out differently, and is 15-minutes delayed. It's a useful back-up to ADVFN.

Do you manually enter the prices or is it possible to copy/capture them in some way?
