I've heard about things called prepaid credit cards; does that mean you charge up your credit card account and then use it? I haven't stayed in the UK long enough to get a credit card--it's potentially very useful to me. Do they charge any extra fees compared to normal credit cards? Where are the offered?
9.95 to buy one. 4.95 per month fixed charge. Load money onto it via cash at post office (cleared next day) Or transfer from an account to the card (clears in a few days) There are charges for taking cash out via atm so be sure to check the terms etc.
Hmm, not only you don't get the short interest-free credit period, you also pay a monthly charge on them. And they use debit not credit card system payments--not good for me. Never mind but thanks a lot,
Will I require any ID to complete my Premium card application? Yes. When you apply for your 360money Premium card, we will require your name and full address with a valid postcode in order to carry out online identity verification. This is a regulatory requirement and we have the right to decline an application if your personal details do not pass the identity check or fail to match our postal address database. We will use external verification agencies to confirm your address as part of our commitment to prevent fraud. We may also ask you to supply additional proof of identification.

I expect they check electoral roll first then go on to ask for a paaport or driving licence.
Yes but remember it's not a credit card or a bank account. It's a prepay card which is topped up by paying cash at a Paypoint station. No real difference to a prepay mobile, you load it with cash and spend it.
I don't think you can top up the card without having the card in your possession either, (you don't get a separate topup/load card like you get with cashplus.
This might be an important difference, for reasons I probably shouldn't suggest here, but one obvious one is I can't take a cheque off you for example and pay it onto my card (avoiding a bank a/c).
