I received an email puporting to be from a regular contributer to this group called 'info about St Pitersburg' (note spelling) foolishly I opened it, though this person has never emailed me. It opened a window which took up the whole screen without the option to close it. It was a rather tacky website selling Russian wives.

I have just received a message from my ISP saying an outgoing message to another contributer to this group with the same title has been delayed. So it seems to be going round everyone, pretending to be from someone you might know.

Norton isn't reporting it as a virus and I intend running adaware to see if it identifies anything left behind.

Please don't open it if you receive it. I have the preview pane in outlook express closed down- this is a useful security measure as it does not automatically open any emails without me clicking on them.

is highly effective - takes out 150-200 a day for me. There's a 5 day trial to play with it and it caches deleted stuff for review to help tune the whitelists etc.
