start up Trading Online Book

Hi,



Could anyone recommend a very good beginner's book on "shares trading online" please? I'm not a beginner to internet or finance, but I need book that contains every thing I need to get me started.



I have made a short list using amazon.co.uk and I have no idea whether any of the books below are good!!! Share trading, whether online or not, is easy. You sign up with a stockbroker that offers the markets you require, fund your account, and start trading. What more do you need to know ?

Do *not* trade stocks (equities). Trade futures contracts. With only $2000+ capital, you can daytrade these contracts vs $25,000 for equities. Use

to setup your account, hassle-free no paperwork fully online. Take my advice on this! Also, the tax advantages are tremendous vs stocks for your income -- much less tax on your profits. I know you are just a beginner, and wish you well. I'm a pro, and you can look at

You may never want to go so deeply into it as a profession, but you should know what to expect, and get a good start. I repeat: do *not* trade stocks -- been there, done that. Trade futures, such as YM (Dow Jones Industrial Average futures contract). $5/tick profit, well-behaved, and cheap. Make no mistake: Trading profitably is *very* difficult, and so I wish you well !!!

Why do you think I need $25,000 for equities ? I note the op has crossposted to both UK & US newsgroups, so there are probably differences.

Where did I say that ?

I'm not interested in assertions from someone who's track record isn't published and hasn't been independently verified. It makes you sound like yet another salesman desperate to sell their product.

If you are daytrading US equities there are pattern daytrade rules where you'll need $25,000.
