My friend has dual nationality (NZ/UK) but has lived in the UK for 20+ years. He has a term deposit in New Zealand and is now in need of the cash, having just bought a house in the UK. I don't have any details of the T&C but, in general, how should he go about getting hold of the cash in the UK without losing too much of it in fees or taxes? He does have a little-used current account with a NZ bank.
