Did anyone else sign up with this website some years ago?

I just received a letter telling me for Capita Registrars that they hold 10 shares in my name, valued at 67p each. That is less than the cost of selling them, and Capita are suggesting I might want to give the shares to charity. So much for the internet revolution!

...and if you read the blurb on the site, they are doing a share reorganisation, offering one new share for every 11 you own.

So the thousands of people with just 10 shares get zilch. Our only option is to give them to charity.

Or buy some more.

This weeks Investors Chronicle seems to say good things about them.

Not that I always agree with IC. Or know enough about themutual to comment.

Some ground breaking investments work out, some don't

I wonder how an investment in Justin Wilson is doing now?

I signed up with them all that time ago, not really expecting anything.

I received a letter today - apparently I've got 100 shares!

So if I sell them I'll get about £50 after their fee (£12)

Seems almost too good to be true...

How come you have so many more shares?

Not really sure to be honest!

Only thing I can think of was that the first few got 100 shares and once they'd got enough, they reduced the numbers to new subscribers?
