40 column receipt

Hi All, I am customizing my 40 column receipt I want to do something like

"This Coupon Expires on : " Transaction.Date + 15

I would like to see (Transaction.Date + 15) in date format right now it prints some number. How do I do that? OR is their any better way to this?
