Add department required to item

It would be helpful to have a configuration option to make department assignments mandatory for each item. Whenever we forget to assign a department to an item, our "post closed batches" to quickbooks will be out of balance because there is no corresponding account set up for a null department entry. Of course, by this time, the Z report has already been committed, so assigning a department to the item doesn't help with post this closed batch.

Ron,

Have you tried reposting after adding the missing dept/class? I have the same issue on occasion and I'm able to repost after fixing it. Hopefully, it works for you too.
