I am interested in purchasing an age verification add-on. I want something specific though...I would like for it to prompt me with a Hook (I think that's what it's called, when you can only hit escape to close the dialog box) I would like for it to come up the first time an employee scans an item say Cigs where age is 18, but the next time they scan a pack of cigs under the same transaction, the box is not brought up again. If the customer purchases alcohol, this age is 21, so the Hook would come up again! I would like to set the hook up per Department, Category, or Supplier. I don't want anything more than something this...if it is out there, please let me know who has it...if not how much to develop something like this?

Don't know if somebody have this add-on already, but surely it's not something that is too difficult to be done. You will probably need few extra tables for configuration and some HistoryLog, small app for configuration and a small development that will pop-in at ItemAdd on Transaction in some of the cases You have explained... Also, depends if You have an HQ or single stores, but this part is standard for RMS...

We have an ID manager that keeps track of what is allowed to be purchased by wich age group and tracks for legal purposes ID of the person buying if required.
Within standard RMS You can add a memo to the items to prompt the user to check for ID, if you want a workaround in the interim
