RMS Time Clock and Departments

Is anyone aware of a third party addition to Store Operations to add departments to the cashier and also the timeclock feature? This company would find the timeclock by department very beneficial. Thanks!

If your cashiers don't move around a lot, you could work around the limitation by assigning cashiers numbers based on departments? That way you could sort or filter reports based on department.

for example: sporting goods cashiers 2001, 2002 housewares cashiers 3001, 3002

Then filter a report for sporting goods cashier > 2000 and Is anyone aware of a third party addition to Store Operations to add

Kathy, We have a timeclock tool that works with RMS. We are currently in the process of developing a newer version of that application that does include what we are calling Job Codes. This I think would be similar to what you are referring to as departments. The first go at it will just be a text field, but later versions will have a drop down menu of Job Codes you define. If you are interested in learning more please email me or give me a call.

This sounds like it might work. In a perfect world, an employee would be assigned a ?home? department where they spend most of their time, but if they get loaned to another department, they would clock out of their home department and clock into the other department. Would you have this type of functionality? Thanks,

Kathy, In the future version I was talking about, I believe there will be the ability to set a Default Job Code per cashier.
