RMS EDC

Hi, I am trying to make a custom add-in for rms that takes data from a payment terminal. Everything is working fine. I set the credit card information in RMS to the information that i extracted from the device. I would like to, when the Cashier goes to the tender screen, to automatically verify the card via EDC and print the receipt; without having to have to cashier do anything else. I can't seem to figure this out. So far, the cashier has to select the 'Credit' tender, push enter, which brings up the account information I entered, and press enter again to get the EDC to occur. So I would like to perform the EDC myself using the RMS built in EDC, without cahsier interferance.

Have you already used the payment terminal to get the approval code? If so, you can't use the built-in RMS EDC. You would be duplicating the credit card charge. Tell me more about the reason for the other terminal?

If you have setup RMS' EDC, create a scan code for the Credit tender (look in Tender Type properties for scan code option).

After you setup the scan code for the tender type, the cashier would F12 | press the scan code you created | click on the + on the number pad and then swipe the card. If approved, the receipt prints.

I am using the Handheld TT8810. I am creating a custom hook so I can interact with the TT8810. I am just using the terminal to read the card, and provide a place to enter PIN/ Signature capture when necessary. I have a hook set up, so that when the user presses F12, my hook is activated. I have my hook find the "Credit" tender, and insert the appropriate information. I have not done anything but use the TT8810 as a card swipe. I would like to then verify via the "Preffered Acquirer" EDC. I want the cashier to then push the + key on credit, but I do not want the EDC screen to come up again, becuase I want to validate it before hand. I want my hook to use the built in EDC to verify everything, because I am having problems with the cashier error. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for your help.
