Is any one using Authorize.Net with RMS? What is your experance with it? I am trying to get setup with Heartland Payment systems and since there is no document stateing that RMS is PCI compliant, I am being forced to add on yet another layer in the CC process. I have been told that PMS is PCI complient but Microsoft does not document that anywhere! In fact they want to charge me for an incedent just to ask the question!

just go with Mercury Payment systems. No muss, no fuss, it just works. MPS is the only processor I know of that has gone out of their way to know about and support RMS.
The solution that Heartland is forcing on you may as well be a payment terminal. They are saying that they don't trust RMS to collect the card data, so you have to do that in Authorize.Net. That's NOT an integrated solution. Go with PC Charge before you do that, at least it will be called from the POS instead of in a separate window...

Tom if you want to ask a customer of ours how long it took for their Heartland integration they would sigh with disbelief. It took them 3 months to do their part for the online merchant account and then Authorize.net only took 24 hours.
PCI compliance is gaged by your local and web server auditing to stay on top of software updates and vulnerabilities. Heartland has nothing to do with it and Authorize.net will only do fraud auditing and address verification for the online transaction through your secure channels, like an SSL certificate if you're online.
I'm not sure who PMS is (are they a merchant account provider?), but here are about 40 payment gateways supported by X-Cart's shopping cart system.
