PCI DSS Compliance

Does anyone know if RMS 2.0 is PCI DSS Compliant, i.e storing of credit card information such as PAN numbers, only storing first 6 and last 4 and if it stores the complete PAN number the credit card field is encrypted.

I don't beleive RMS stores Credit card details in its basic form, but just wondered if anyone knew or there was a statement from Microsoft about this.

Thanks

Hi

I would also like to know if MS RMS 2.0 is PCI DSS compliant ?

After hearing the credit card details ARE stored in a database (even though they may be encrypted), i am still concerned they do not meet PCI DSS compliance

any information would be grateful

I too would like to know if RMS is PCI DSS compliant. Which versions are, which are not. If none are, how do we become PCI DSS compliant? Thanks.

Andy,

I have just learned from PC Charge even with their new version of PC Charge

5.7.1i SP 8, if RMS old version does not push the new field required by VISA and Mastercard they will still be taken but at a higher rate. For example if it cost $0.05 cent per transaction now it could go up to $1.05 per transactions till we are complainance. We have to check with our merchant bank to verify what this rate will be for sure.

That makes sense. Perhaps MICROSOFT should step into this discussion board and explain to the public what versions of RMS are compliant when using PCCharge 5.7i SP8. As for now, it would be safe to say that only RMS version

2.0 is compliant. As for now I am go> Andy,

I have read everything, but I dont' see an explicit reference that RMS 2.0 is PCI DSS compliant. The VISA site lists Microsoft Point of Sale 2.0, but does not list Microsoft RMS. I have to provide some proof to a government body that RMS 2.0 is PCi compliant. Have you seen anything?
