Question

I have a need to create a sales item that will have a number of sub options that I'd like the cashier to select. I'll give you an example -

We sale OPI nail polish. I want to create a button on the screen that says OPI and when selected it pops up a list that shows each color. The cashier would select Red. The item would then display OPI Red in the sales window.

We have a number of items that work this way.

Can this be done????/

Hi Ed - yes, you can do this.  Set up the the OPI nail polish as a matrix item, where the different colors will become matrix components.  Then at the POS, type the matrix lookup code and a window will open where you will select the specific color you are selling.  Use the new item wizard to set up the nail polish as a matrix item, I find it to be more user friendly and quicker.  Your dimension 1 can be set up to track the different colors that make up the OPI polish. Sounds like you want to use lot matrix. One ILC, able to select from multiple choices. When you make a new item you will see Lot Matrix as a choice. Select it and start adding the items you want to be able to select from.Craig
